Role Summary:

The Master Black Belt 4 demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within
functional area(s) of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy


  • Work with quality champion(s) and other operating leaders to develop project deployment strategy, goals and priorities
  • Serve as change agent by stimulating, communicating and institutionalizing Lean Six Sigma initiatives
  • Drive lean manufacturing activities and ensure progress while tracking project status and closure
  • Create the lean vision and implement a lean strategy to reduce cycle time, inventory, and waste
  • Assist in lean plan execution by leading Action Work-Outs (AWO’s), training personnel and other activities to achieve world-class process flow
  • Guide functional teams in developing and executing lean plans to reduce cycle time, inventory, and waste to improve process quality and create capacity
  • Serve as an expert resource to the business on Lean Six Sigma philosophy, theory, and application tools / tactics following completion of a rigorous training program
  • Improve customer satisfaction and reduce process variation through application of Lean Six Sigma tools and tactics
  • Develop strategy and deploy Lean Six Sigma tools and tactics
  • Teach, train, coach and mentor Green Belts/Black Belts in the use of Lean Six Sigma methodology
  • Define, scope and select projects
  • Conduct regular project reviews with assigned Gren Belts/Black Belt quality leaders to assure accomplishment of key results
  • Communicate progress, status and issues to Champions and business leaders
  • Educate and coach others on Lean Six Sigma philosophy and application
  • Seek, share and institutionalize best practices


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • At least 5 additional years of experience in lean systems and Six Sigma integration
  • At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to make decisions with speed and accuracy based on best available information
  • Ability to motivate teams and lead change at all levels of the organization
  • Responsible for meeting customer / business needs as well as developing direct reports
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Customer-focused in defining quality and establishing priorities
  • Able to make executive level presentations
  • Six Sigma Green or Black belt certification
