Aerospace Elites Head to Prague

Lectures of aviation legends as well as the chance to meet the top players of the aerospace industry – all this will be possible during an international aerospace conference called Flying 4 Students which will take place in Prague, Czech Republic, in early March. The event aims to introduce the world of aerospace to young people and to enable them to start a career in the field.

The event will be held in the famous historical Bethlehem Chapel and will offer 10 lectures given by world-class aviation personalities. Visitors will be able to enjoy presentations made by Jacques Bothelin, the leader of the well-known Breitling Jet Team, or Justin Hughes, the former Executive Officer of the famous Red Arrows. Hundreds of students attending the event will also be addressed by the president of the American Lindbergh Foundation, John L. Petersen.

Another important part of the conference consists of workshops led by experts from renowned aerospace companies. Many of them will be looking for talent to bring back to their working teams. Czech Air Navigational Services and Eurocontrol are among those organizations which have already confirmed that they will organize their workshops.

Flying 4 Students will culminate with an exclusive gala where there will be opportunities to get acquainted with significant personalities of both the Czech and global aerospace industry in a more social setting.

The event is organized by the non-profit organization Aerolife which has already made a name for themselves through several interesting activities. „We carried out an air expedition across Western Europe which took us all the way to Morocco and back. We also had the opportunity to give a ride to Sir Nicholas Winton as a thank you for his heroic efforts instrumental in saving hundreds of Jewish children from Czechoslovakia on the brink of World War 2,“ says Martin Meloun, Aerolife’s Chairman of the Board.

In 2016, Aerolife also organized a successful event called Flying 4 People, which promoted aviation and at the same time served as a fair for aerospace companies. “Thanks to this event, we have gained a lot of useful contacts and we started dreaming about putting together something even bigger and truly revolutionary. Flying 4 Students is the result,” explains Mr, Meloun.
